Raising Kings and Queens

Carefully checked, trained nannies for busy working families.

Go to work knowing who is with your child.

Every child deserves care you would be proud of. So before a nanny ever reaches your family, we check them in seven different ways.

Seven checks, for every nanny

  1. i

    Government ID

We check a government ID, such as NIN, so we know who the person is.

  2. ii

    Face-to-face interview

We meet every nanny in person before recommending them.

  3. iii

    Two verified guarantors

Each nanny gives two guarantors, and we contact and verify both.

  4. iv

    Police check

Every nanny goes through a police check.

  5. v

    Employer references

We take references from the people they have worked for.

  6. vi

    Home address check

We confirm where each nanny lives.

  7. vii

    Medical test

Every nanny takes a medical test.

Every nanny also receives short training in child safety, first aid and professional conduct.

How it works

  1. 1You send a short request, and we call you for the details.
  2. 2We meet you, in person or online, and share 4 to 5 nanny profiles matched to your family.
  3. 3You choose. The final decision is always yours.
  4. 4Your nanny starts with a paid 1-week trial.
  5. 5We check in with you and your nanny every month for 3 months, then as needed.

What you can expect from us

If it doesn't work out

We offer one free replacement within 60 days.

Who employs your nanny

Jehosheba employs and pays the nanny, and your family pays us a monthly fee. We send a quote once we understand your needs.

If something serious happens

Contact emergency services or the police first, then tell us at once. We respond within 24 hours and suspend the nanny from new placements while we look into it.

What checks can't do

Checks reduce risk, but no agency can guarantee a person's behaviour. That's why you interview and choose your nanny yourself.

Nannies never pay us.

It's free to apply, and free to be placed with a family. Jehosheba is your employer and pays you, and we train you before placement.

You must be 21 or older, have at least 2 years of childcare experience, and be able to read and write English.

Why we are called Jehosheba

Our name comes from the Bible. In 2 Kings 11, Jehosheba hid the baby king Joash and his nurse, and kept him safe. We believe every child deserves that same care. All families and nannies are welcome here.
